How All The Oils Work For Hair Growth

Oil itself doesn't grow hair, but creates an environment where the hair strand and surrounding scalp is lubricated enough so that while the hair strand is pushing out of the scalp and growing, the strands don't "curl" in around itself. When combing or manipulating the hair, it won't snap or break. Therefore allowing lengthening to occur.

That's what my friend who is a licensed beautician told me years ago (he's been in the biz for over 35 years and is DARN good!)

I always talk to him about the suggestions and products I read about here and he explains to me if it will help or hurt my particular head of hair. He will give me a thumbs up or thumbs down if it will effect my progress.

I hope this truly helps!

I've used several different oils on my hair. Castor Oil is my favorite. I would mix Castor, Sweet Almond and Olive oil to use on both my hair and skin. GREAT feeling to my skin and hair. It really gives my skin and hair a supple feeling.

Right now I'm using a mix of Olive oil, Rosemary oil and Basil oil. Good to know that Basil oil is a growth stimulator. Will go all organic next time and add jojoba to the mix. Will put some on my salad too, minus the jojoba. :lick:
