I just got a relaxer after an 8 month stretch (I was pondering going natural) and my hair is breaking and shedding like crazy!! My heart aches each time I see yet another strand of hair thats anywhere but on my head! I keep my hair moisturized and well conditioned and use only the jilbere (??) shower comb. Thing is I'm in school and very busy, so I would prefer to hide my hair til summer when I can deal with it. I am new to Houston, do you know any good hair weavers? I'd like a bob with bangs or some other really nice cut, I'd appreciate a good recommendation to someone who can weave and cut.

There's a lady here in Houston that got rave reviews on BHM (black hair media). I cannot remember her name but when I get home, I will find her information and some others and post links and contact info for you. I'll PM you just in case this thread goes down.

There is a guy named Roy of RB International 713-522-7171 He can do the bomb sew-ins. I had him do a frontal and a sew-in. I love the sew-in part but the frontal is suspect now it could be due to the fact that it is too small but....the front just isn't up to par.

Just to add to this thread, I have a few friends that go to Shakore, and really like her results. Apparently she isn't toooooo expensive either.
 
Yea she is not that expensive depending on how long you keep ya hair up. Like me I only leave my hair up for a month no longer and $200+ is tooooo much money. Even if I had the money I still wouldnt do it. But I have seen her work and it is fab. So if you do decide to swing her way, you will be in good hands. I gotta stick with the person I am with now:look:
 
Well, I lived in Houston a little over a year ago. And, I went to this girl my friend referred me to. She's young and she works out of her home. But, its clean and safe. And, she only charges $80.00 last time I checked. She's pretty good too. I wore mine long and layered and got compliments daily. But, she does her own hair and wears it short mostly and its beautiful everytime I saw it. PM me if you want more info. Good luck!
