Do you use them....
I do...

I love them...they are so easy...

they dont get my hair super straight which is good...but after placing them on my hair i just flat iron the new growth and pin curl/or bun...works like a charm

how about you?

Hmmm, haven't given hot rollers a thought in a LOOOOONG time. Sounds like something to have on hand when you need a quick fix! Thanks for bringing those up! As long as they're not used on high heat and not daily, I think they're doable.

I really don't use my hot rollers all the time. I prefer the curls I get from Carusos, which are a bit different.

I own a Remington Caresetter. The last time I used it was once in June. My hair was frizzy and I was going out. I used my Carusos and it got a bit more frizzy in some spots. So I used my Remington on those sections and it worked it out for me. I cannot even remember when I used it before that

My Carusos give better, long lasting curls, though. I actually use it almost every day.

I bought a hot roller set (Conair) about a year ago, used it once maybe twice and tucked it away on a shelf in my closet. Decided to use them again about a couple of days ago and have to say I love the body it gives my hair.

I have those same Conair rollers... I just got them about a month ago. I like using them. It doesn't seem like I can get a good curl from them, but I feel like it gives me a slight bump under (that doesn't last but a few hours). But I only put them in for like 30mins. I am sure if I kept them in longer I could do more with them. How long do you keep yours in? I bought some separate big roller clips since I didn't like the clips in the kit. They stay in better that way. :weird:

this may be a dumb question..but are hot rollers only for already dry hair?

I would think so. I wouldn't use them on damp or wet hair.

I use those Conair hot rollers too. I bought the jumbo size, but I really like the ones my friend had. They were blue and gave me more body (I'm guessing because of the size of the rollers) I still like the ionic rollers when I'm pressed for time though

Bumping this....
Wondering if hot rollers are okay to use everyday or in moderation,
OR
is it a case of "heat is heat no matter what."

I like my hot rollers. I mean I love 'em. They give my hair nice body and my ends don't look fried as with a curling iron.

Any one know of any hot roller tutorials? i'm thinking i'd like some celebrity type curls for my anniversary....By celebrity type I mean when they just have some nice curls in the ends (think red carpet) OR....check out Battlestar Galactica, the character Duala (Dee) had a NICE 'do (scifi.com) on the first episode of the season I know, SLIGHTLY off topic but...
