Hot Rollers - success/failure

Ladies, I am in the process of purchasing some hot rollers and would like to know which brand/style you had the most success with. I had the rollers with the "u" shaped pins, they were kind of old, but they burnt out after while.

I have a Remington Care Setter set with Ionic Rollers. I love it, but I only use it once a month or so. (My Carusos are my babies these days :D )

I like the clips that the set comes with, but I bought a set of their "Kindness Clips" and they are much better, in my opinion.

Do you have to blowdry your hair after you use the Caruso rollers?

No. I flatiron my hair on wash days. My Carusos I use EVERYDAY for styling. I just put them on when I 1st get up and leave them on while I make my breakfast and get ready. They are ready to remove after that and the curls are always nice.

My remington setter is for emergencies. Sometimes, when I am in ahurry and a Caruso curl comes out frizzy, A quick, and I mean quick, set with a Remington roller removes the frizz.

My Caruso curls last longer than the Remington curls, though. it just gets harder to use Caruso as I get closer to touchup time.

sorry to hijack

does anyone use the hot rollers as a means not to use curling irons and blowdryers?

i'm thinking of getting the caruso rollers, for when i want curls and stuff and i really don't want to buy a blowdryer and i dont really know how to rollerset wet hair.

i bought a ceramic flat iron off ebay recently that i only plan to use for emergencies as well.

I have yet to master that trick. After airdrying, I MUST flatiron my hair to get the sleek and shine I want. My rollers are for daily styling.

Honeydew, I have a Remington Care Setter too, but it's just a tad bit different from that (my clips are different and come in 3 colors). I haven't used it in a while, but they are nice.

pink_n_green, I also have a set of hot rollers that use the U shaped pins. I don't really use that set anymore, though. Not to say that the set wasn't good, I just stopped using it.

TSU, I think I have the one you have. That picture is the newst one they have. I bought a friend that one as agift and it is the same except the rollers do not seem to get as hot to the touch. My guess is that they did that for safety reasons.

Mine are Vidal Sassoon. And they are pretty decent. I like Vidal Sassoon hair products which is why I went with them.

They have the "U" shaped pins and there are 3 different sizes. But you can always buy your own alligator clips.
