After a hot oil treatment is every ounce of oil supposed to be removed from the hair when you shampoo?

I don't shampoo after a hot oil treatment, only cowash. I get most of the oils out but leave at least 10% in.

I do exactly that. When you cowash after the treatment, the hair feels sooo soft. I only wash with shampoo when I plan to flat Iron later.

I use coconut oil and I buy it at Whole Foods. Coconut oil penetrates the hair shaft. I don't do it often but it makes my hair feel great plus i think it helps with strengthening the hair.

hmmm I got some carrot oil hot oil stuff from my moms that I hadnt used becuz I didnt really know how... now that I know what to do with it.. I'll be experimenting
