Can anyone recommend a good hot oil treatment that wont leave your hair too oily. My hair has been very dry and scalp flaky even right after washing this season (in NYC) and i need a real good treatment.

L'Oreal has a good, non-oily hot oil treatment. I can't think of the name, but it's in the Nature's Therapy line.

I use it. It's called L’Oreal Nature's Therapy Hot Oil Botanical Treatment.

Have you tried honey? When I don't feel like being bothered with oil running everywhere, I use more honey than oil. Mixing in a little bit of oil helps it to spread. It's really good at softening as well as adding shine. You can also add one of your cheaper conditioners to the oil and honey for a thicker consistency. That acts as a really nice buffer if you think your shampoo is a little stripping.

I like hot six oil or a mix of castor oil, olive oil and honey. HTH
