I bought some of that Cinnamon and Sole (Dominican Conditioner) and it smelled just like red hots candy. Well when I put it on my head it felt just like red hots too!

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it supposed to be this hot? It felt like a strong relaxer.

Once I put the steaming towel on my head the burning subsided, but I just wanted to know if this was normal.

I had this problem too! But I like the sensation but my eyes started burning after awhile. I love the smell! It made my bf turn red:lol:

I mix it with other conditioners. I don't have a problem with my scalp. But if I get some on my neck, back, ears of forehead, it turns red. I think this is because of the increased circulation. About 5 or 6 years ago, I used a product from nioxin, that did the same thing. If it dripped down my forehead there was a red trail where the water ran down. It's like a niacin flush.

Well my scalp must have been nice and stimulated. :lachen:
I had to lift up the towel and make sure my hair had not melted off. :look:

oooh chile, I wouldnt mess with it anymore :nono:

I have a friend from the Dominican Republic and she told me that the Cinnamon shampoo and conditioner is for people who are having problems with thinning hair and balding. It's purpose is to stimulate the scalp for circulation and help with thinning hair. This is why you had that stinging sensation. Have you recently relaxed your hair, brushed your hair, or scatched your scalp?

I would not use this product too much if you are not having problems with chronic thinning hair or balding. I don't think that it will hurt your hair but you may not want to use this product on a consistent basis because it could cause scalp irritation if you have a sensitive scalp.

My friend said to stick with wheat germ and Miss Key conditioners for regimented conditioning.

Hope this helps.
