Girl, your hair looks bee*you*tee*ful!!!!!!!!! I especially love the "hair pose" :Flahsssss girl, you should model! SO.......what's YOUR regimen?????

  oh my life, when i saw this thread my eyes popped out my head ... very unexpected thanks!!!

My regime:

- my hair typing is 3c-4a

- wash hair every 5-7 days with MANE n TAIL original shampoo

- use the MANE N TAIL conditioner as a LEAVE IN - this is the only way it is 100% effective against breakage and promoting growth - for me

- I've taken biotin ever since January and my hair has been constantly growing like a weed- i now take it consistently.

- EFA (essential fatty acids) are important INTERNALLY to moisturize hair, and i take Evening Primrose every day without fail/YET NOW this has changed and i take a teaspoon of flax liquid (over 4,000mg in one teaspoon)as its now winter and i am NOT TAKING ANY CHANCES!!!

- i always ALWAYS wear donut buns when I'm out the house (withOUT the foam as it is drying) i use bobby pins for all types of buns and do not use gel or any grease on my scalp ex for SULFUR 8 (RARLEY) which i believe aids my growth too

- i use KERACARE oil moisturizor. w/ jojoba oil daily (at night and throughout the day if needed) and also use LE KAIR - CASTOR OIL grease on the ends as it is medium -light oil consistency and does not weigh the hair which causes breakage (the good thing about this oil is that i only have to use it once a week and the moisture just keeps on lingering).

- i relax with elasta qp no-lye MILD/SENSITIVE every 3-4 months

- i don't comb my hair but only b4 i wash (once a week)

- i wear 8 two strand twists to bed (4 each side) and in the morning i undo them and had ringlets, which i finger comb into a bun

- i use Alma oil once a week WITHOUT FAIL as an overnight tonic which keeps my hair nice and dark and also strong and shiney.

- i also use KERACARE humecto and hydrating poo every now and again (twice a month)so that i do not overdo the protein - but as my hair grows longer it like protein more.

Your regimen is interesting, thanks for sharing it and your hair progress is great!
Does Alma oil make your hair black or does it keep your regular hair color?

I need to be like you and be VERY consistent. I've been sooo lazy lately-- too much to do-- too much work. But seeing progress like yours is what keeps me motivated.

Beautiful, thick, healthy hair!! :yep: Keep up the great work!!

Thank you so much all of ya!!

if u want something bad enough u will get it!

Hey Isis, well when i first had my hair relaxed it stated to go a funny shade of gingery brown, when my natural hair was very dark brown.

i guess the perm broke down my hair colour.

so i researched amla, and my mum ended up buying a bottle. now my hair is the same texture and the same colour as my freshly relaxed hair/re-growth.
Amla seems to have restored my hair elasticity aswell as strength and colour as when iwas natural.

hope that helps xx

Yeah, your hair is a nice rich colour!
I use Amla powder for deep conditioning sometimes, mabe I'll give the oil a try for overnight conditioning.
Where do you get the 4,000 mg per spoon Flaxseed?

ooh amla powder sound interesting, something you can conjour up yourself, i love being hands on with stuff.

i get my flax from Holland And Barrett. it tastes horrible but once its goes its gone! i've actually stopped taking this as my hair got way too oily, i mean like ends were like an oil slick!i recommend it if you have very dry hair, or bouts of dryness. i think this is the stuff i will use in the winter only as it works fast, and maybe does TOO much of a good job!

Three questions Candy_C:
1. Do you still get the same results if you are taking the softgel pill of the Flaxseed Oil 1000mg?
2. Which biotin are you taking: b-50 complex or biotin? If it is just biotin, how many mg?
3. Where can I get the Le-Kair Castor Oil from? Is it a grease or an oil?

thanks for you queries i love answered questions!

1. when i took the softell flax i saw the same results but with less intensity and it also took around a month longer to see a result

2. i take holland and barret biotin at strength: 1000 UG (i aint got a CLUE how much mg it is i think its about 10mg? b50 is basically 5mg of all the essential b vits (it says 0.050mg) next to each vit.

3. i get mine from the local black hair store, it usually comes with a small sample of the le kair conditioner (cholesterol)
