Close to 10 yrs..It was well loved and used.. I hate to see her go..How long did the Babyliss last you? Did you like it? My mom has had that one for about 10 years and hers still works fine.

I second this. although I can't vouch for it's lifespan. I've had mine since 2013 but haven't given it very much use.I like the LCL hooded dryer
I think I have this one back at home. I also think my mom broke it since I moved lol.She was on her way out.. any suggestions for a good replacement? Not sure I want to invest in a pibbs though. She was a standing Babyliss pro from Sally.
Can I find this on amazon?I like the LCL hooded dryer

I'm a Pibbs 514 lover. It's extremely sturdy/well made with high quality parts....worth every penny.
I did have to repurchase the pole part after like 6-7 years because the adjustable height feature broke. However but the hood, and everything else, has held up perfectly after almost 9 years of use 1x - 2x per week.
I've been wanting a Pibbs for years but the way my checking account set up...
i have it and i don't like it. it gets "hot" yet where my old tabletop hooded dryer would dry my twists in 15 minutes, this takes nearly an hour. its hard for me to adjust the height and get it to stay and i've already broken one of the legs.I've had this one for several years and it does very well. I also like the fact that when I raise the hood lid thingy, it shuts off while still being on, KWIM.
