How do you ushe either of these two, I just saw glycerine in the store I was excited.
I have not been here very long so I do not know where to purchase a lot of these items.

How is Glycerine sticky???? i mix it in my conditioner and my aloe vera mix... no sticky here and my hair is VERY soft when it air dries

thanks for the info ladies!
better than glycerine???!!!!
i'm sold!
i'm abt to place an order for liquid silk amino acid @ lotioncrafter
so i might as well pick up the honeyquat too :look:

i've always been on the fence w glycerin
especially in the winter as it seems to have a drying effect
as the air sucks moisture out the hair

have u guys noticed this "winter effect" with honeyquat?[/quote]

Bumping.. I want to know the answer to this question as well.

So this why my hair keeps drying out this winter because of the glycerin! I want to know if Honeyquat has the same winter effect as well. Bumping to get the answer!

I use both mixed together...I mix glycerin, honeyquat, silk amino acids, and water in a spray bottle and I mist my hair daily with it. the best moisturizer I've ever had!! I love it better than s-curl, hawaiian silky, and anything else claiming to be a moisturizer that failed me (my personal opinion, sorry if i offended any s-curl or hawaiian silky users)...

Yes. I have noticed the winter effect. The only way I can combat it is to thorougly seal my hair with a heavy oil after spraying the glycerine (castor oil, for example).

I have this same mix in my spray bottle. Makes for very moist rollersets.

For the people talking about stickiness, you're probably using too much and need to further dilute it down. A little goes a long way, IMO.

Yes I agree! Honeyquat is so much less sticky/gunky than glycerine. I just started using it today (lol) but I'm already in love. So far it 's made my hair smooth and super moist. I LOVE this stuff!! I add 2 cupfuls to my small spray bottle, along with aloe vera juice (starting to think I prefer this to the gel) and a bit of distilled water. I sprayed my hair, added a little HE LTR as a light moisturizer, made a lil bun and baggied whole head (I'm at home studying). Hair feels very soft. No more moisture spray buying for me!!

My hair does not like glycerin very much, but honeyquat is wonderful. I add it to everything, particularly my moisturizing leave-in spritz/mist (homemade).
