Early last month, I was experimenting with my hair. I put my dry hair in large twists over night. The next morning, I put a mixture of honey and mayo on my twists. I kept it in a for 15 minutes I believe. At that point, I unraveled all my twists. My hair was nearly straight. It just had a few waves at the end. Very cute!
The problem is I had to wash out the mayo/honey, thus getting rid of the straight effect (my hair was significantly stretched though). I then went on to *** up my hair by applying Smooth 'N Shine and trying to blow dry it. Uh... yeah.
So, I have a three-fold question. 1) Was it the honey, mayo, or both that helped my achieve the straightness, 2) What product(s) could I use (and not have to wash out) in place to get the same effect?, and 3) Is there anything I could add to honey that would prevent me from having to wash it out?
TIA
