Has anyone heard of this? Has anyone added this to their shampoo/conditioner? I've been considering this for quite a while, but with two boys and a baby on the way, I REALLY don't need to be playing chemist in the bathroom, if there isn't much of a benefit. Besides, every free moment is for sleeping. *smirking*

I've heard of using it for the shine. It makes my hair hard and sticky though

Sometimes I use it in my pre-oil treatment.

i also put honey in my pre-shampoo hot oil treatment. i really like it, but i don't know that it makes it any shinier...

I added honey to my Humectress last wash and set. It came out SUPER shiny. Unfortunately, I also used Keracare Silken Seal on my wet hair before rolling so I dont know which product caused the shine. I have to try it again one at a time so I know...Ill post results...

Hmmm, I'm going to have to try this honey thing again. I assume you warm it a little to help with the consistency?

BB, I didnt warm mine...just misxed a teaspoon of it in a bowl w/ about a cup of Humectress. No stickiness or anything once it was in miy hair. I left it on for about 10 minutes w/ a plastic cap in a steamy shower.

I've been adding honey (or Black Strap Molasses) to my cholestorol conditioners (a la Peachtree) and have found that it kicks up the moisturizing effect quite a bit and gives some added slip. I warm the honey and then add it to the conditioner.

I didn't notice any added thickness effect but noticed only a slight shine increase but that could just be because my natural hair doesn't reflect light very well no matter what *sigh* Anyway honey rinses clean in tepid water and honey is a humectant (like glycerin). Try it!

i used to use it too, and i liked it. maybe i'll do it again too:) but i don't believe that any product can make hair thicker. however a certain cut or blow drying technique can give the effect of more body. the honey is still good for the health of your hair though.
