Honey and Essence mag quoted a trichologist...

His name is Rodney Barnett. Anyway, it was cool that he did urine and saliva tests to determine your state of health and in determining what type of vitamins you would need to benefit your hair.

I found his website and gave him a call.
He was such an [** potty mouth **].

He told me about his approach, which was great, but then told me he wanted to set me up as a wholesaler of vitamins(ka-ching for him), he then asked me who my stylist was cause he wanted me to convince my stylist to attend one of his seminars (another ka-ching for him)

I told him that I have no problem referring my stylist after I had worked with him for a while but he didn't get the hint, and was really pushy about it. LO-SER.

Anyway, I had called AND emailed him and so he didn't recognize the name and has been calling me *again* for the past 2 days. He doesn't realize that he has spoken to me! My name is very distictive, so I just don't get that.

His consult was $100 and I said I was going to send him a check and he said, "The fastest way is with a credit card.." I said I would send a money order or certified check and that is that..

That phone call was such a turnoff. He just turned away business! I was really psyched to do the evaluation and because of his attitude I was completely disgusted...

OMG...I'm sorry to hear that. That would have been a turn off to me as well.

Well kudos for trying

He was mentioned in both Honey and Essence magazine and he has that type of desperation/urgency for business. That sounds really peculiar.

Ditto!

Did you read the new Honey magazine's hair tips? They're still saying to trim every 6wks. (how will you see any hair growth?) I'm going to write them because I didn't like a lot of the info. in the hair article!

PS The trichologist is a Jack-A-S-S!!!

LOL omg I was reading some tips from Essence not too long ago and this lady said some people cant grow their hair real long. Then she said to get your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks. Ummm no wonder the hair wont be long. duh.
I have learned I have to stop listening to these magazines because sometimes they contradict themselves and sometimes they give really wrong info. God bless you all.

Yuk and double Yuk Vester. What a turn off! He probably knows someone at those magazines or his head just got too big for his body. I am so glad we have this board. He probably assumes all women are just in desperate need of his help. Thanks for letting us know about him.
