Okay, I want to warn everyone reading this I am quite excited, so if my terminology is in an exaggerated state....please excuse.

I am a working mother of two girls (4yrs and 8 months) and I have about as much free time as President Obama right now. I choose to use the 3.2 seconds I have while the both of them are napping today to look into making my own hair butters. I recently ran out of my trusty ors hair fertilizer and I thought,"Well, let me try to see if I can put some of this shea and cocoa butter I have in the house to good use." I mixed it with coconut oil I had in the kitchen, a few drops of peppermint oil in the bathroom, and some apricot oil I bought 5 years ago from a friend selling "natural" skin care products ( It was ridiculiously priced and I only bought it to support her.) Now, my husband is working today and it is the rare chance I get to have the house "practically" to myself...(Ladies, I know they are here in the house sleeping, but to me it feels like I am alone) I didn't dare do my "experiment" while he is here because he already thinks I have lost my mind with my new hair fascination.

So, I mixed them all together, and voila......just wonderful!!!!!!!

I know want to take this opportunity to thank everyone on the board that has figured this hair thing out and shared their knowledge. I love you all!!!!!
I also want to thank my girls for going to sleep for more than 5 consecutive seconds and my husband being at work today. If I left anyone out, thank you 2!!!!

I feel so good right now, I could just go outside and run a marathon with my flipflops on!!!!

First of all i would like to say i'm glad you had the me time. am sure it was well deserve because it is nothing like some me time baby!!! Anywho, i agree with you. i think home made concoctions are the best. my hair is at its best now that i make my own stuff. you will be amazed at all the things you can come of with when u can find the time to really do it and also how well they work. Keep up the good work. happy growing!!

I believe in doctoring up my inexpensive quality products to be compatible to my Verifen Complex products. They give me the same results.

Okay, so I have gone and tried my "hair butter" approximately 5 trillion times since I made it this afternoon.....I love LHCF!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again ladies for the support!!!!!

Bumping AND admitting that I can't WAIT to get home to start making my own stuff for my hair as well.

Congratulations on your alone time AND your success in making something for your hair!!! Here's a party for you:

Hopefully, the above "party" adequately expresses your excitement.

Thank you, Thank you!!!!!

I just melted it all by dropping each of the containers in hot water. It took under 5 minutes to do it because they all liquified (is that a word?) very fast. Then I poured it all into a large bowl to mix together. Slapped it into the the frig for a 1/2 hour and started mixing, with a large spoon, every 1/2 hour on until it hardened again. It is nice a whippy!!!! My concoction has received rave reviews from coworkers.....If you all have spare "oils", whip them out and start whipping!!!!!! You will be pleasently surprised!!

****And my kids have not taken a nap together since, so I am happy that I knew to "Get in where I fit in!!!"
