That and layered cuts are making feel just like i'm missing out on something. i know people say they hate layers and stuff but when you see "longies" wearing their hair down and it's all layered and pretty i just wanna get me some--

Girl, don't do it!! I've had layers forever and I'd give anything to have long, all-one-length hair!!

Bottom line is we always want what we don't have!! (If you have layers, you want all one length, if you have all one length you want layers...) It's inevitable!!!

Another example: I have light hair now, and I always see women with pretty, shiny, dark hair and wish mine was dark. Then finally I did color my hair dark, and then I started to see sooo many pretty, light colored heads of hair everywhere!!!

It's ironic that you guys started talking about the Motions Color Refresher / Return product. I was eyeing this in a BSS last weekend.

What's the scoop? Is it better than or comparable to Sebastian Colourshines by Cellophanes? The price is much more digestible (sp) by far. My last Colourshines application (by my stylist) disappointed me hugely since it washed out much faster and more noticeably that the prior applications. The colour (Ginger) was great but it didnt last nearly as long as before (daily CO washes proably wasnt helping but still....) Besides the colour, does it add alot of shine to the hair?

Thanks in advance!

ooh ginger sounds nice...i have been using reddish, and it is so/so...i wanted something lighter ofcourse, well i am gonna serously give it some thought....if i could get some highlite without the bleach...my hair is a medium brown....so i am hoping the dye will take instead of the
bleach...

I highlighted the front of my hair about a month ago with regular color. The results were barely noticable, but since I've been to the beach now they are lighter. I have already noticed breakage near the hairline and I haven't used any heat. Everything else looks fine...for now. I took the breakage risk into consideration, rationalizing that I could just trim the front more, since it's a few inches past shoulders. Now I'm not so sure, but it's still early to tell. Last time my hair was colored, the damage appeared over time. Hair just got weaker and weaker until it broke off.
