Looking at my calendar for the next 5 months, I'll use all 3 of my passes

September (date undisclosed) when my husband returns from deployment, October 6th, My sister-in-laws wedding, and Thanksgiving!
 
I have joined the other 2 but haven't been on par with them this time I hope I cant do it! Im going to more commited to this and stop being lazy! Sign me up :grin:

I'm going to join this one! I'm a HYH 1st timer, but I've been hiding my hair in one way or another/off and on since December '06, and full time since April '07.

My hair is beat the hell up right now to be quite honest. I think a combination of neglect, and rough handling along with bad relaxer applications from stylists has messed me up. The ONLY healthy part of my hair is the new growth :lol: which I try my best to nurture (I even try to baby the dead ends, but that's not working so much)

I have not relaxed my hair since Dec. 20, 2006. I have not used heat since Feb/March. I have been hiding my hair with falls, ponytails since April (when I found out I was pregnant :eek: )

After a lot of back and forth and warring with my natural/relaxed/transitioning selves, I've decided that I'm not going to relax again until AFTER I've had my babies. I'm going to trim my hair as I go until I have no more of these funky/damaged/relaxed ends. Once I am fully natural, I will baby my hair and continue hiding it in protective styles. I plan to breast-feed both babies for 6 months to a year. Once they are weaned is when I will relax my hair again. By then, I anticipate having at LEAST mid back length hair, if not longer, but my goal is midback/bra-strap length.

I'm going home tonight to take a pic of my hair in it's current state. Each month until december, I will post a pic as I get closer to being natural. I've been having a BC itch, so that might get in the way, but my ultimate goal for the HYH till Christmas challenge is to have healthy, natural hair.

This is my first HYH challenge.
My initial goal was APL by my birthday, October 27th
So for this challenge my goal will be for my hair to be between APL and BSL

My one pass will be for my birthday!
Other than that, you won't see my hair till Christmas!

and its going so slow, plus the fact that im lovin these curly tracks i have in my head, so um, yea. looks like this is what i will be doin! WOOOHOOO
 
Im In too... But i wont start until mid July or early August. the last challange provided a lot of growth and now i am SOO in Luv with my length and texture.

Goal: Shoulder length....does anyone have any suggestions on how to hide short hair? I try buns, but my hair is so short that part of the ends are untucked or the bun ends up being TINY. Sigh, this is really frustrating...

Try braids and half wigs until it's long enough to bun.:)
 
I started my challenge yesterday by pre-pooing, clarifying, deep conditioning, and cutting my APL hair to the nape of my neck...didn't mean to cut it that short, but it's even. It's still long enough to put in a ponytail though
