Hi all, I decided to officially join a hair care forum, I've stalked many, but decided LHCF was the best form for me! A little about me! I'm natural, I began transitioning in November 2009 until November 2010. I cut off my relaxed hair ( yeah)!!!!! and never looked back! I love being natural, it's been challenging at times, but I just want to thank all you ladies, natural, relaxed, texlaxed, and everything in between for sharing your stories and reggie's..they've really helped me on my hair journey!!

:yep:

Thank you 10wordsorless!!! The transition went faster than I had anticipated! Had a few bumps along the way, primarily being a product junky until I learned about my 4b hair, what it likes and what it doesn't like!

Thats the Ancient Chinese Secret:yep:

Good luck!

Ijanei,

I don't have any pics to post yet, I will be working on it though!

I cut off more than my relaxed ends when my transition was over to make sure I got all the relaxer out. So I was left with about 4 inches of hair. My hair is currently collar bone length in the back, but my sides grow slower. My sides are about an inch or more from my collar bone, and my hair has always grown in layers.

My reggie- I think I'm finally settled with one..

Wash every Saturday
I mix 1/3 cup of baking soda with 4 tablespoons of honey and 1 tablespoon of ACV.
I spritz my hair with water to dampen it..it's not really wet.
Separate my hair in 4 sections and apply the mixture to my roots first, like I'm apply g a perm! Massage my scalp gently, baking soda is abrasive on it's own, so mo need to scrub. Work mixture down to my ends, and hop in the shower to rinse off.

Condition-

Mix Aubry Organics conditioner with about 2 tablespoons of honey, put on a plastic cap for 20 min and rinse.

Seal-

Mix Weleda Rosemary hair oil with about a quarter sized amount of Giovanni Deep repair for Critically Damaged Hair (my hair is very healthy, but I use it because it's got a little more kick to it rather than a regular hair conditioner).

I found that baking soda cleans my hair so well, there is no need for regular shampoo. The honey balances the abrasiveness of the baking soda.

Thank you Bajanmum!!

I agree, I've stalked other forums and some wernt for me..LHCF seems to offer something for everyone!
