I looked in my local yellow pages and found a few Indian grocery stores in my area. I checked out one and they had some shampoo bars, powders, oils, and a few other things such as ghee butter. I was suprised to find all this stuff without having to order online.

Girl, there are a million stores out there for you. Don't go online. Ask our lovely NY people for recommendations. Stop the first indian person that you see and ask them where "their" store is. Also check the phone book. Trust me, you have one in your area.

B42- i love that soap. i get mine on amazon if i cant find it in the indian store. Very important. Get some oil too. Because you rinse with a little oil first and then wash with the soap. Its a dry tangled mess if you dont oil first. Let me know how you like it.

I couldn't find the shikakai bar (or oil) at my grocer either, but the powder is working fine.
