so....did they get those results using his products or the products on the table? I'm a little disappointed that they didn't specifically say what product was used on the first lady's hair....:ohwell:

I believe he used his products. He has his own salon, but I think before he created his own line, those may have been some of the products he used - just a guess. But if you notice how he is applying the product into the first girl's hair (raking the Kinky Curly Cream through), it makes sense. Look at the application video done on his website: http://www.hairrules.com/Video.aspx

I noticed a lot of things in both videos; one of the ladies faces on the testimonial video is also featured on Miss Jessie's website (since they are both in New York, or were in MJ's case). On the application video, the model Susan is also in his book, Hair Rules. I know she has a texturizer - it looked fabulous in the book, but not all that great towards the end of the video; looks like their were some straight pieces amongst the curls :look: If I were ever to get a texturizer though, I would go to NY to let Mr. Dickie do it!

Anyone know what the ingredients are in the kinky curly cream?

posted that on my blog today... maneandchic.com... check it out... I have curly custard ingredients...

OMG!!! YES... I can't tell you how much that "DO NOT TOUCH THE HAIR WHEN IT'S DRYING" YEEEEEEESSSS!!!! Made me love my natural hair. Every natural should live eat and breathe that

I am LOVING Terry's hair!!! :love4: The second I saw it, I grabbed pen and paper to find out what he used.

I actually Looove kinky curly custard, but I meant Dickey's curly cream from the website. They're not listed.

Hey. I have a few Hair Rules product reviews on my blog . The ingredients are:

water, mineral oil, c13-16 isoparaffin, butylene glycol, glycerin, c18-21 alkane, carborner, triethanolamine, hydrolyzed wheat protein, crambe abyssinica seed oil, honey, hedychium coronarium root extract, cymbopogon schoenthus extract, humulus lupulus extract, olea europaea fruit iukm coix kacryma-jobi seed extract, PPG-26-butteth-26, dimethicone, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, fragance, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, DMDM hydantoin, disodium EDTA, iodoropynyl butylcarbarnate.

That took forever and ever to type...the writing on the bottle is sooo tiny. Anyway, they are coming out with a mineral oil free version BTW.

I met Dickey at Urbanbella last month. He was incredible. He is correct about how best to style the hair. I tried his methods and I get great results everytime. I do skip the portable dryer portion though, I try to minimize the amount of heat. But using conditioner in the hair prior to applying the styler, smoothing the product through the hair, setting the curl when the hair is dripping wet, and not touching the hair during the drying process are all very helpful. He also recommends trimming the hair after it is blown out straight.

I have the curly whip, but have not tried it yet.

Thanx almondjoi!

Dickey is a great stylist. I do think that that first lady in the video got a texturizer though.

I have used the curly creme which gives great definition and shine. It does dry hard and crunchy though. And I noticed it sometimes dries with flakes :ohwell:- maybe I used too much? Also I am not crazy about the mineral oil in it - it makes my scalp itch like the dickens!

But lawd I am in love with the smell:lick:

i know thats right...my mom BC'd the other day and then cowashed and i almost had to strap her down so she would get out of her hair.

i recorded that episode cause i KNEW i was gonna be sleep...i had to fast forward 3 and a half hours to get to it and it was like 5 min long :look: but it was cute. i definitely saw some jane carter stuff on the table...and i loved how they were tryna be all politically correct with all the hair terminology and stuff. LOL
