Hennalucent and Protein

Tricking the president
I just got a relaxer on Wednesday. I just picked up some clear hennalucent from Sally's. I had previously planned on doing a light protein treatment tomorrow. I know that hennalucent is supposed to condition but does it act as a protein like the cellophanes do? If i use the henna, do i still need to use protein? anyone who has any info on the subject please help me out. I have an appointment for a wash and set on Saturday if that makes any difference at all.

I use hennalucent as a protein treatment all the time. A lot of people like doing it to soften and strengthen. But for my hair, I wouldn't do a hennalucent treatment right after a relaxer... it made my hair revert :(

Everyone else who I asked about it had no problems doing right after a relaxer. I guess I am just weird :ahwell:

thanx for responding anky. are you the only one whose hair reverted? how long do you usually wait? anyone else?

ok y'all i tried reading the hennahilic thread and its just too long. what was the genral concensus on how to use Neutral Henalucent? what to add in? TIA.

hey, dont worry about reading that hennaphillacs thread. read the latest one made by Allandra or ones made in 2003 (the year that hennalucent was the hottest).

Anyhoo, a lot of people shampoo, then apply the hennalucent, wait 30 (or whatever minutes) then rinse it out. I always use a moisturizing conditioner afterwards :)
