It can help not only add a bit of color, but also shine, condition, strengthen, stop shedding and breakage. My hair is much strong since I've been using henna, so much so that I don't use any protein conditioners anymore.

What kind do you use and where do you get yours? Do you go off the color of your hair? My hair is not black but brown with highlights grown to the ends and this is where my breakage began with the color!!!!!

I'm currently using a batch of Reshma henna from the local Indian store. Take a look at my photo ablum (in siggy) and you can see the color achieved and picture of the henna box and mix. My hair was brown with blondish highlights before henna.

Your hair color is beautiful and your hair looks rich & healthy! My hair is just a little lighter but i should be able to use the alma henna. Also do i need to get the cassia because i don't want to dry my hair out? Is Cassia some henna to. I notice your derm prescribed you something for your scalp it seems like you have a very good caring doctor. We have some sorry derm in mobile. They are just ther to make a dollar. I am going to try the Alter Ego stuff also. I have not been sucessful in finding the emu oil or alma oil do know anywhere? Thanks!

Awwww, thanks :)
OK. Amla is just that, comes in a powder form. Henna is something different. You don't need to get cassia, but if you don't want any color deposited, I would suggest using it. To avoid dry hair, be sure to add some oil and/or conditioner to your mix and DC afterwards. Amla oil you can get at your local Indian store or oder online. A very popular brand is Vatika.

For the emu oil, this is the brand I use: http://www.thunderridgeemu.com/products/products.php?page=1
You can call the company and ask if it's sold in your area or you can order online.

I love my dermatologist, she's been very helpful :) I got some samples of the Phyto+ for you, I'll send them out tomorrow

Thank you JLOve74 You are so sweet and helpful? One thing for sure i have i gotten the hair thickness down pack. I don't know if it the vitamins or hair products but my hair is not thin anymore at all!!!  I did my first co-wash last night and was pleased but i got it in a pony tail now with a bun. It's the only way i can keep the heat out of it. I had to use a comb though. I noticed most people say try not touse a brush or comb but i am not at that stage yet but i hope to arrive soon. I have ten weeks of new groth and i feel confident I can go longer. I will be posting pictures soon.
