henna and rinse (clear or colored)... good, bad or ugly?

ok, I have never done a clear rinse or a henna treatment... so here is my Q...

I'm thinking about getting henna in black in my hair sometime this year, and i want to know if getting a clear rinse (for max shine, to lock in the color, strength and health) is safe on henna hair?
