Ok...... this probably is not the right section to ask this, but I dont know where else I could post this. Here is the deal I got a phone call on Monday night real late telling me that I got accepted into nursing school. I have to move by next weekend in order to attend the mandatory orientation. My question is this does anyone on this board live in tallahassee Florida and knows of any good apartments that are safe that I should look for? Thank you I am trying to get an apartment by Monday.

Have you tried Craigslist and apartment.com and rent.com? Also, you can google a particular apartment with the word "reviews" after the name of the apartment so you can read people's experiences with that particular apartment. Another option, if you don't find anything so soon is to live in a motel for just one week, that way you can actually walk through the apartment physically first.

I didn't go to school here (UF grad), but I hear that Park on Polos is good. It's probably better if you check out a few places on apartments.com and then I can tell you where they are located and if the neighborhood is decent.

ETA: If price is not a big issue, you may want to rent a townhome. I've seen several for rent in the area. They should be listed on apartments.com

Well I don't live in Tallahassee, i'm from Fort Lauderdale but all my friends go to school up there. They have plenty apartments, especially the ones that are closer to the universities. I'd suggest those because they have some that are set up where each person basically has their own section of the apartment, and then the common area (kitchen and living room) are in the middle, but you'll have your own room, bathroom, small living room, and a small kitchenette type thing. I think that would probably be better too because they split up the rent between the people living there so you have your own lease and don't have to pay the full price of the apartment..or have to worry about paying full price if your roommate moves out. I don't know the exact name of these apartments..I believe they're somewhere near Ocala Road.
