:( I washed my hair last Saturday and used a deep conditioner (Dominican Emergencia) and a protein rinse (worn silk) for less than 5 minutes both ( I was too lazy), mild protein and my hair now feels too dry/hard, I've never felt my hair like this before.
I'm now using the ORS moisturizer lotion and jojoba oil, I applied 3 times yesterday and still feesl very hard/dry and oily. I don't want to wash my hair again until next Friday. What should I do? Should I go ahead and wash /DC again or is there something I could use to soften my hair?

Thanks,

What happened to my hair?:perplexed

I know you do not want to wash again. However, I would and deep condition really good... I would do that or a CW for some softness.

did you deep condition after these treatments? When was the last time you clarified. Did you do any other protein treatments before this in close proximity?

I would say severe buildup or protein over load.

Clarify to remove gunk and deep condition with a moisturizind , use a moisturizing leave in (no protein) and seal that in.

This is what I did:
clarify, shampoo, rinse and condition. I did all while taking a shower and now I remembered I also used a leave in (Infumsion 23) Gosh, that's protein too?:ohwell:

I did nexxus emergency like 3 weeks ago, no more protein until last saturday

I agree. I used Infusium once and it left my hair harder than a rock.

emergencee is a heavier protein and then coupled with this treatment and infusium may be the culprit. Perhaps you should try and focus on moisture for a few days and see how your hair feels. Also, do a strand test by pulling one of your strands while it's wet. if your snaps immediately, you definetly have too much protein.

HTHs!

But it's been 3 weeks or more since I did emergency:ohwell:

RIG is right. It doesn't matter how many weeks it's been, your hair is telling you something. Listen to your hair.

From my knowledge the fact that you did emergencee 3 weeks ago, then the dominican emergencia, then the silk worm (which has protein in itself) AND the infusium, this tells me that there is a protein overload going on.

I say wash and DC again, with a moisturizing conditioner (something with little [protein at the end of the list] or no protein).

It doesn't seem like your hair is responding to the moisturizers, so I think you need to go big time and DC.

I'd recommend a prepoo with oil ...in addition to the above suggestions.

Girl the best thing for you to do is check the thread called "favorite moisturizing conditioner" or "what do you deep condition with?"

There are thousands of threads out there. I couldn't begin to say all the good deep conditioners out there. My favorite ones I order online, and I know you need something quick.

Infusium left my hair hard as a brick, that could be the reason her hair is hard :( Stay away from Infusium :(
