Help with flat twists

I'm hoping to try flat twists this weekend but I'm not sure where to start.

I know how to cornrow, so is it basically a two-strand cornrow where I'll pick up hair after each twist? Or is it more complicated than that?

That's basically it. I think it's way easier to flat twist than to braid. You just start with two strands and begin twisting and pick up some hair each time.
