Help with Derma-Smoothe

I need to know how you are using and what type of shampoo do you use afterwards? Any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA

when i first started using this product, the instructions said to use it every night for a week and leave it on overnight. i tried this, but it really isn't feasible if you're wearing your hair straight all the time (which i was doing back then). the company modified their instructions for African-Americans so that they could use it without washing their hair every day. it's now okay according to them to use it for oiling the scalp. that's what i do now.

after washing and conditioning my hair with my regular products, i put it on my hair before putting it into the bun or doing a braidout. if i get my hair done at the salon, i put it on my scalp after i get home. i don't use much because i don't want my hair to be weighed down when straight. it's just as effective without doing the overnight thing IMO...

I use it at night 2-3 nights a week.
