Help! What am I doing wrong? my hair is thinning

I love this forum you are very supportive of each other,I am taking ultranourishair vitamins, MSM,primrose oil,spray surge 1x a day and oil(wonder 8 oil) my scalp afterwards I shampoo every 3-5 days doo gro(mgs) and condition it with Aubrey Jojoba & Aloe or use Aaveda Rosemary mint I went on vacation forgot to pack all my hair stuff I was only gone for a week my hair was in good shape before I left now it looks weak, thin, shedding lifeless I did use the hotel shampoo it had rosemary in it. I have forgotten everything that I read before I went out of town. I am so depressed about my hair Please help me get it back it had grown about 11/2 inches since Jan 04 I got lazy I had a bad experiences with a two hairsylist last year too strong of relaxers which caused my hair to come out. I was so blessed to have found this forum I was purchasing everyproduct you mention every other day. Now my back is completely breaking off very short I had a relaxer w a new sylist(I like her)2/04 Affirm I asked for a mild) now my new growth is breaking I only see the sylist when I need a retouch
 
I wish I could give you more insight, I am sorry that your hair isn't doing what you want

. I understand how damaging stylists can be. Alot of stylist damage thier own hair and in turn, do the samethings to yours and expect growth. It's really sad, my knowledge and this forum have helped me to realize that you have to handle your hair yourself in between relaxers. Those should be about 8-10 weeks. Deep condition your hair every 5 days after washing it and use with a good Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and moisturize it daily with a creme like Profective Breakfree. Good luck and remember...no stylists until it's that touch up time.
 
Thanks Ronica, I have learned to look at the stylists hair now (LOL)-- what deep conditioner do you use?
 
the only thing I can say is too really moisturize that back section of hair so it doesn't continue to break off. Also just overall moisture the heck out of your hair and keep on taking the vitamins and eventually you will see results.

Thanks Cutie and Honey, I will not give up! I am moisturing as I type. I was on vacation for a week and did not take anything but s-curl I guess I neglected the nape area Oh well I will start over.
 
I just realized my hair was thinning due to breakage. The stylist showed me all these tiny strands throughout my head. I now realize the importance of PROTEIN, that stuff will keep our hair STRONG. How often do you PROTEIN? I am singing the praises of B-5

I agree with Denali03 protein is very important but dont overdue it. Also I dont think you mentioned it but if your blowdrying your hair maybe you should think about airdrying your hair.
 
Thanks to everyone! I am learning everyday on this board how to take care of my hair myself sometimes it's really hard Iam PMS'ing today very depressed about my hair, but I will get through this I know. Denali03 what is B-5? I will go out and get it today--Chocolate01--I just started blowdrying on low heat the one with the comb attachment I thought my hair was breaking due to the new growth I do not know how to keep it straight-I was completely bald in the middle of my head last July the end of I now have about 4 inches of growth which has not been relaxed I have 9 inches of relaxed hair on the sides I have a mohawk(LOL) my family wanted me to sue the beautician but I believe in Karma-what goes around comes around(but what did I do?)they thanks for listening I think I need some happy pills-
 
Oh I sorry Denali03, I was using protein every 3 weeks I thought I read it's not good to use to much protein so I condition and sit under the dryer for 20 mins sometimes it does not reach(heat) the back of my head--how often should I use protein in my hair?
