Hi everyone:)
Just took out my micros and my hair is a natural phenomenom!:D
I deep conditioned it the day after but becos it's so difficult to comb through it, I think I'm going to get a relaxer on it ( I hear Profectiv is great-any thots ladies?) Right now I have my hair wrapped in a scarf at work. I'm hoping by shutting my eyes tightly no one is noticing:D :D !
Really I need to know what to do with my hair as I nurture it to its destiny-lush-healthy-no breakage-long-mid back hair:grin:
My hair is half NPL-nape length and half way CHL-chin length!
Ideas please?

Hi Deola,

Your hair length sounds like my length when I started. Here are a couple of ideas:

  • If you are open to wearing phony ponies or falls, this is a great way to protective style and avoid using heat. I have a number of photos of me with phony ponies and/or falls in my album link. If you live in an area that has a really good Beauty supply store check out their selection and try to find the best match to your color and texture. Here are a few good websites for phony ponies & falls:

  • If you prefer to wear your hair out, you can wear a low ponytail or bun using a sock as filler. The instructions on how to create a bun are also in my photo album.
  • If you prefer to wear your hair out, you can do a rollerset, twistout or braidout(I haven't mastered these yet). When I want to wear my hair out I use flexirods on airdried hair to create a curly style that is very feminine and cute. Photos of my curly flexirod set are also in my photo album, I did the style on shoulder length hair but it will also work well with your length.
Good Luck!!!!!

Thank you soooo much trimbride for that!:)
Your hair has really come a long way and it looks very healthy!
I am open to phony anything as long as it is protective of my hair. I will be getting relaxed tomorrow and will get that afro phony pony-I think it'll look good on me as it did you:D
Thanks again for sharing-there is hope for us short lengths:D :D
One question tho', do these indian oils really work?

I have not seen much of a difference, I like the smell of Vatika oil, it makes my hair shiny, and Amla oil is supposed to be very softening. I add a little to my deep conditioning treatments that I do twice per week. The Himani Nivratna I only bought once, it is nice and has a tingling feeling. I mostly like to use these oils because they are fun and exotic:look:

They do have an exotic scent:D
I just got the phony afro puff and I look so goooood:lol:
I also ordered some MTG- I've read a lot of comments about it on the board and decided to give it a try. I hope it works well for me!
