***HELP PLEASE! Synthetic Wig Care and tangles!***

I literally feel my New Born Free Kelly wig aging and i don't like it
She is tangling in the back, getting kind of frizzy and losing a lot of curl pattern. What should i do?

I was considering brushing her out with my denman brush and then dipping her in boiling hot water but i don't want to ruin her. She has tangles in the back , ya know the part that brushes up against ya shirt.

Anyway, i want to keep her for awhile and i wear her everyday. Any advice on how to revive her and get the curls to bounce back?

Don't brush it with a Denmon! Hot water can melt a synthetic. Spray it with a little water and twist the curls together with your fingers. I don't comb my synthetic curly wigs.

The ladies over @ BHM have some killer threads on wigs in general. I've seen some threads about using fabric softener (I forget the brand) to wash synthetic wigs, and that apprently removes tangles and smoothes the hair out. I've also read threads and seen videos on YT about using heat/ curling irons to re-style wigs.

I don't have any experience with the above. But hopefully it gives you a few pointers to do some searches on.

Hi Op

The trick to getting information you want is googling it first. The search button never works for me so I google and 99% of the time any question I need answering has already been covered.

Here are some threads that should help:
