…How did you do it?

I want to texturize but later I may want to Perm.

If I’m already texturzied and want to perm, Will I have to Cut the texturized hair off then perm …Or can I apply the perm over the texturized hair?

I will use Phyto relaxer all times.

are you talking about a permanent wave - or acid perm, or are you referring to relaxing bone straight?

IF!!! you are are referring to an acid perm - you have to cut off relaxed ends off, or they will fall off on their own.

If you are referring to a relaxer and getting straighter hair, you would simply do a corrective.

Either way - please seek out professional help. There are stylists that specialize in both.

Im not sure what a permanent wave - or acid perm is but I want to texturize with phyto relaxer...but later on I may want to fully PERM my hair.

..Will I have to cut off all the texturized ends then start perming..or can i apply the perm OVER the texturized ends..?

Suggestions pleasssssssssse : (

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS: texlax your hair. thats basically the same as a curly perm/texturizer. basically your leaving the relaxer on for only half the time.

AND IF YOU WANT YOUR HAIR RELAXED: leave the relaxer on for normal time.

THATS IT. abc-123

^ I understand this. But is it ok to put the perm OVER the texturized hair ( if I decide to perm later) is my question.

People frequently 'correct' over their previously texturized hair in an attempt to get the look they want, so I don't see how leaving it on a little longer to get it 'bone straight' would be any different. I have some heat damage from a bad straightening experience, but 'correcting' over that hair didn't exacerbate the problem as long as I kept up with protein treatments and DCing.

Thanks.

And its good to know you didnt have any problems when you did it, as long as you kept up with protein treatments and DCing. I was just scared my hair would start falling out..breaking...or make a turn for the worse- I thought maybe it would be too much for my hair.

Yes:yep:, you can just use the same relaxer you used to texturize with. if you want a straighter look a few months later, buy that same relaxer but this time leave it on longer.

Thanks.

i know this first hand, because i once relaxed my hair THREE TIMES in one week!! and i still had no problems as long as i used protein and moisture balance:grin:

you'll be just fine.

Thanks.

I waited at least 6 months between when I first texturized and when I 'corrected' to give my hair some time to recover. My hair is very delicate in it's natural state even, hardier hair may be able to take being corrected sooner.
