HELP!!! NEWBIE IN CRISIS

this may sound weird or a little ghetto but my bf showed me how to make a really quick piece for a bun. don't laugh because its quick easy and cheap.

take a pair of long socks- like the kind old men wear with shorts and black shoes..lol. cut them so that you have the part that is elastic-the part that stays up on those boney legs :grin:. then put one piece inside the other so u have a long tude, roll them into a donut and slip it around ur ponytail. Use bobby pins to secure ur hair around the piece and there u go...a nice tidy full looking bun.

someone probably has a better way or something but this is just my tiny little contribution.

This is a SOCK BUN and its what I did when I was shoulder length.
 
For a regular donut bun I always used the Scunci Magic Bun Hair Accessory. My hair was necklength when I started using this thing and all you have to do is twist it up and go. HTH!
