I like to do conditioner washes and I love the wavy look. But by the end of the day it looks like a huge mass of ugly. Is there a product that I can use to keep the waves throughout the whole day? TIA, God Bless!

I did a post on this a couple of days ago. You need a gel that will hold the curl definition. I really like black'n sassy creamy set because it doesn't flake, it's also very similar to a product called BBD Glass/curve's curly pudding. and it's 1/10'th of the price:$5.00

I read in someone's fotki album that a boars brush and suave milk and honey conditioner do the trick to create waves galore. but, i don't remember what hair type they were (i think 3b-4a).

HTH!!! :)

Right now I'm using miss jessie's curly pudding and merigue. I shampoo and/or conditioner wash just about every day. Both products make my waves and curls POP! I use the curly meringue on my crown area and the pudding on the length of my pony. I use the meringue on my crown because it has more hold. Both products are kinda expensive but IMO worth it. These ARE my staples for making it through the summer without heat. You may also want to try Matrix Curl.Life shampoo & conditioner. Very good for keeping wavy/curly hair moisturized. By the end of the day my hair isn't frizzy and dried out.

Last night after washing I put:

Hair serim by John frieda (to fight frizz)
Infusium 23 leave-in (for some reason this helps my hair curl a little)
Dream Curls by John Frieda ( I really like this)
Smooth and Shine Activator gel (was only $1.99 at walgreens)

I scrunched with my hands for a few minutes
Put a towel on my head and went to bed

This am I had cute waves not curls but nice waves. It looked like I did a braid out. My ends looked reallly good. I could have just worn it like that but I put it in a bun :look: I just wanted to see how it would look. Next time I will try with a difusser.

I too have been using Ms. Jessie's products to maintain my hair's texture definition, so I couldn't agree with you more. ;) But I will take a look at that Black N Sassy next time I'm in the BSS. I tried some of their products when my hair was relaxed, with undesireable results, so I didn't plan on using them ever again. But they might work great on my natural.

I meant to add that Curling Custard stretches my curls into waves, so that might work for you. It's not really a look I care for, though. Too jherri curlish.

saturate the hair with water in the morning and add s-curl wave pomade. It helps hold my curl. I also plan on trying Elasta P silk gel. I got it at the DC meeting exchange.

Qhemet Biologics. Love their stuff. I have coils that keep their shape and my hair isnt hard or greasy. Try the honeybush soft tea gel. I mix it with the a lil curl activator. What ever product you use, apply it like the shingling, in sections. I do this with a denman brush to define the curls and reduce frizz. I dont dry my hair though I let it airdry. Qhemet has some new stuff coming out too. I will do a review once I try them. I purchased her new curl milk and it peformed well but its not for my hair type, its for more 3 b-like folx. I have thick 3c/4a hair. I will do a review once I get to try it by itself. Soon there will be a heavier cream for kinky folx. I cant wait.
