I am relatively new to LCHF. I have been trying to find a new stylist for the last couple of months. My previous stylist has taken very good care of my hair but I would spend anywhere from 6-8 hours in her salon. I work full time and I am a full-time student in my last year of completing my B.S. Although, I want my hair to be long and healthy, I can not afford to give up that much of my time to get my hair done. Thus leading to me experimenting with other stylists over the last couple of months. My experimenting has lead to breakage. So the woman I went to today, said that I was in need of a trim to even out the breakage. Well what I ended up with was a CUT!!!!!!
I was mid-back length when I walked in today, and left there with my hair at the back of my neck!!!!!!!!
I explained carefully what I wanted done. I explained that I wanted no more than an inch taken off! I was so hurt. I cried. I did not realize how attached I was to my hair. My husband also is not happy!
So, if you ladies could offer me any tips on how to speed up the hair growth process, I would greatly appreciate it. Any regimens, supplements, anything? Also, about how long should I expect it to take to get back to my original length?

Has you hair always been pretty long? Is it hereditary or were you short-haired at one time?
Then I would suggest that you follow a basic regimen.

The ladies here thus far have given you great advice. I had a neck length haircut and when I was ready to grow it out the best thing I could do for it was protective styles. I know it's hard but learn to love that length and know that you are beautiful with it! There are also so many styles that were beautiful on me with neck length hair and at BSL not so much. Try to find a style that will make you
and follow the advice given by the ladies. Since your hair grows fast your'e probably closer to your goal then you think!
