HELP!! My hair is locking and knotting

I'm picking through locks that are breaking off some of my hair. Right when I get through one I find two others. How can I stop this, and how can I get through the knots safely. This has been happening for the last couple of days.

I would say a good conditioner and detangler. Maybe some of the other ladies can offer better suggestions for what products to use.

ETA: Make sure your hair is well moisturized. If you're not afraid of too much manipulation, try CW every other day.

Oh my!! definately try an Excellent detangler or conditioner. You will definately need some patients, and just try to finger comb your way out a little at a time. How exactly did you hair get to this point?

The K Cutter comb has saved my hair! I divide my hair into about 15 sections and come thru each section from ends to roots and then braid and let it dry. I do this once a week after washing and conditioning. I NEVER get locking like I used to before I started doing this.

I'm glad I just put an order in for a k cutter comb because I am 12 weeks post relaxer and I am having alot of issues.

Tahk you ladies for the advice. I really don't konw how my hair got to this point. I could blame MTG, but I don't think that it is at fault. I'm 16 weeks post. I think that lack of moisture might have something to do with it, I've had mtg on my hair for the past couple of days, and although its oily, I realize now that it dosen't do much to moistureize, at least on my scalp.

Another think that I would like to ad is that I've been using a shower comb, too.

I put my hair in f big bantu knots, and that seems to have helped. I'm going to wash later this afternoon and deep condition to hopefully head off any breakage. I'm thinking about going to sallys to get some stuff for a hot oil treatment.
