Help Me Work Issue!! LONG

Well I don't have a scripture to give you as of yet. But I would definitely go to him and ask him what he needs you to do. Tell him that you would like him to specify what your duties and goals are in that position and then you should write them down. And you definitely should mention the distractions. Just tell him that you want to be able to give him the best work and work up to your potential so that you can grow with the company and you do this best without distractions. Also if you don't know what he needs, maybe you can make a form for him to fill out with all the things that he need to send to him weekly and give him a deadline to give it back to you. i hope this helps. God Bless and just keep praying on it!

1. The noise factor might be a little something you'll have to get over. I highly doubt that this scene is going to change. It's a little hard to tell people to stop walking and talking as they make their way to class because you are an introvert? If someone is disrespecting you then by all means speak up because nobody has the right to disrespect you.

2. What your boss does is his business why would you want to upset yourself because of his wrong doings. He's an adult and he also knows what the policies are for opening and closing the door. Right. Let someone of greater authority deal with him.

Pray about the above situations and ask God to help you change in whatever way is needed so that it will bring him glory and honor, and you peace of mind everytime you walk into the work place.

It's unfortunate because sometimes when we have bosses and co-workers that are really bad and refuse to change the people around them are so use to their bad behavior that nobody bothers to correct them, but what I have found to be helpful is that if I change my perspective in the situation by letting go of anger and the need to fight somebody:D God will work it out.

3. Check to see if you have a list of your job description and duties. If so, then I would suggestion you take the initiative and find out through other sources how to perform your task, ask a nearby secretary use the internet whatever you choose. My guess is that this job is just like any other job in every other company in order to excel you may need to take more control. I'm not trying to be nasty I just don't want someone to get up in your face months later and blame you for not doing this that or the other and then say well if you needed help you should have asked somebody.

I had a boss who once said that what he liked about me was that even though I didn't have or know the answer to what he asked I didn't fold or make excuses for myself. I went out and found the answer by any means necessary. He said that most managers think that this is better than somebody who knows everything, because managers like to see workers who will take the initiative.

I hope I wasn't harsh in any way.

Best wishes:)

Yes I thought you were harsh especially w/your number 1. I didn't say that the noise bothers me because of I am a quiet or introverted which I felt was a kind of assault to what kind of person I am. I said it it distracts me and inhibits me from doing my tasks like speaking and being able to hear the phone which is a pivotal part of my job. I feel this is important and not at all trivial.

2. I am getting repremanded for him not following directions so that is why I concern myself with this adults behaviors they could have an effect on my livelihood.

This was a vent I am frustrated . I in no way make excusess for myself or fold when something is asked of me. I am capable of doing a great deal of tasks this was basicaly a vent because My superior has set out things for me to learn that he would be training me on that he has not honored. I posted this because I was looking for encouragment.

Wednesday afternoon we had a meeting and he apologized for not following through on what he has said he was going to do and for not taking my requests seriously even when I told them they were getting me in a trouble. He told me I was doing and excellent job. He said that there are things that are going on that he needed to inform me of like him not liking all the bureacracy and red tape that our institution puts in place, and the retraints that he has etc..... He told me he's used to working in a place where he has the control and he's apologized for not realizing that his issues were getting in the way of my productivity. We have abetter understanding I believe all the prayer has been paying off God is really working with me and my reactions and my patience. Thank you all and God Bless

I am glad that things worked out for you. I was going to post a few tips, but I will pray that the situation continues to get better!
