My grandma has 3b/3c type hair. She is 75 years old. It has been bra strap and thick for as long as I can remember. Now it is shedding and breaking; she and I are both hysterical. I know she is elderly and hair gets thinner as you age, but not like this...

We are not giving up without a fight!! This has been going on about a week. I need to know where to go to find that Garlic shampoo everyone raves about and get it fast... I need a website ASAP. TIA

Has anything changed recently with her diet? Is she taking medications? Has her iron levels been checked recently?

Age can also cause hairloss (not to make your Granny feel helpless or anything), but it could just be something as simply as that. Nevertheless, it doesn't mean she's doomed. Check out this webpage. In fact, the whole website www.add-hair.com is a favorite of mine. (I'm a sucker for natural remedies, and particularly like that site coz it gives you a lot of options.) Having tests done to eliminate hormone problems, iron deficiency and the like wouldn't be a bad idea either. Food sensitivities, which can spring out of nowhere even if you've never had them, can also lead to hairloss...so a food allergy test wouldn't be a bad move either. It won't hurt to use organic products either. Certain chemicals might not be helping....

Most of all, tell her not to stress. That'll only aggravate the situation. There's power in positive thinking so tell her to start believing that this ordeal will pass and it just might happen sooner than she expected.

Thanks for the site...the Garlic Shampoo I was wanting may be too strong for Grandme. I will try using my Aubrey line instead of Suave for about 3 weeks and see what happens. Thank you everyone.
