I had my hair relaxed Feb.28. I waited 2months to relax, I tyred to wait longer but my newgrowth drove me crazy

I let my trusted friend relax it because she does hair. I have never seen so many waves in my life. The Loveboat don't have nothing on me. I have never had my hair so underprocessed in my life. It is week two and I washed my hair, what a disaster. While combing in my leave-in my hair was breaking in pieces. I don't know if it's because so many sections still have newgrowth. It looks like part of my hair was playing hide-go-seek. It's as if the relaxer called it quits and said damn finding the others.

I went out and purchased some Aphogee for the breakage. I'm glad I didn't blow dry. I nomarlly experience shedding but not breakeage. What should I do? I know one thing. She will never relax my hair again. How soon can I relax again? I was so mad I wanted to go old Otis(martin) on her and commit a 5 to 10.

Instead i'm chill and can't wait for the waves to calm.

same thing happened to me when i let my mom relax my hair for the first time. before this i had my stylist do it. talk about underprocessed. the only thing is my hair is more manageable than before and not breaking. maybe you could try a protein treatment.

This happened to me as well, and I waited 6 weeks to get another retouch, when I normally wait 9. I have read that others waited 4 weeks too.

Also another thing, I don't know what strength you use (mild, regular,or super) but wavey hair tends to be harder to relax. So you might want to go with a regular or super strength if you havent already.

Sorry to hear about the mishap, its sucks I know, but the best thing you can do is deep condition alot and leave it alone. HTH
