I am going to the beach and I need to ensure that my hair doesn't get any damage. Other than protective styling or hats, what can I do do keep my hair safe? It is hot here in the south and I have already noticed some drying in my hair.

All suggestions welcome.

TIA

Before i go, i put lots of coconut oil or shea butter or a thick leave in like cantu. So much that my hair is greasy and stringy. Most of it comes out in the water. After i swim i use a regular conditioner as a leave in and seal with shea butter. Sometimes ill add the aloe gel i use on my skin

no hats or protective styles for me. my hair looks way too good to hide!

Thanks, I'll have to try that.

Are there and products that provide sunscreen for the hair?

I agree, layer your products. Use oil on the length of your hair and a good butter on the ends.

HeChangedMyName I take a spray bottle with water, leave-in, conditioner and my favorite oils. I live at the beach (a Miami girl), so this is necessary. Even if I don't get in the water, I still spray my hair down!
