Is my hair underprocessed? Scenario:
Last week, I got a virgin relaxer after letting my texturizer grow out. Well, all last week it looked great! Yesterday, I went to the salon and got a rollerset and it looked great! Well, last night I put rosewater and natural oils on my ends and they immediately frizzed up! This morning I un-wrap my hair and most of my hair is puffy! However, the hair near my scalp is just laying down beautifully, but the rest of my hair is a hot mess!!! It looks like two different textures and it's horrible! Anyway, is there anything I can do, because it's most of my hair that's underprocessed and not the hair close to my scalp? Please help!!!

Did you relax over the texturized hair or did you cut the texurized hair off?

I'm just trying to understand what you meant.

I let the texturizer grow out, so that I was completely natural. It took about 7-8 months (my hair was not that long). Anyway, I decided to go for the full relaxer and now, it's all puffy from about 2-3 inches from my scalp onward in most sections of my hair, although there are a few sections that are laying down too. Does this make more sense?

Yes it does, thanks for the clarification. :D

When you got you hair relaxed, she went all the way to the ends right? it could be possible she didn't leave the relaxer on the ends long enough, causing it to be underprocessed. You can do a corrective in about 4 weeks or so or try to wait it out.

Or it may be what some call scab hair. I personally have never had it, so no experience with it, but from some of the threads that describe it, it could very well be a possibility. (I'll try to find some threads and post them here)

I do I think its best to wait for other ladies to chime in for some other insight to see if they have other suggestions for you.

Yep, sounds like it was underprocessed. The hair closer to the scalp is probably straighter because it is closer to the scalp and the heat from your head probable caused it to straighten quicker that the rest. But you should go back and see if the stylist will correct it for free.

Yep, same thing happend to me a few years ago when i decided to go from straight natural to relaxed. the minute i washed my hair it all frizzed up. Unfortunately back then i didn't know how to take much care of my hair. I've heard of some people getting what is called a "corrective relaxer" by a salon for underprocessing problems.

Yes, you are underprocessed, I am the same. But flat iron I will go until next touch up and make sure it is done correctly.
