For some odd reason when I click on a topic I don't get anything but a blank screen. Help please.

That happened to me the other day with the presidential debates last Tuesay (?). I was on a thread that was producing upwards of a 1,000 posts and suddenly, blank screen for 15 min. It must be a glitch with the website or something.
