Help design meh hair, please!!! Twists/ locs/ or braids?

I hope all you lovelies will help me name what I'm looking for . Alright, basically what I want is something resembling dreds that 1) look thick and chunky like big crayon width or a lil' bigger maybe 2)can aid in hair growth/ retainment/ no or little damage 3) can be washed 4) can add length, extensions. I was thinking loc extensions, I have someone trusted to do them, but I don't know how they work like the process and care and aftermath . Or maybe kinky twists. Anyways, I'm going for a kinda undone on purpose look, not like a woven looking like some do. So if anyones got any links or pics or info, please hit me up. Oh, and I'd be happy to post pics later to show off the gems . TIA!
