Hello everyone, I am new to the website and I was wondering if any one has ever tried to heat their conditioner up in the microwave and use it for deep conditioning?

I have heard of some doing this, but I don't recommend it. Heating will denature any proteins in the conditioner and the proteins are there to help your hair.

I warm my pre-poo sometime if I don't have time to leave it on, but I don't warm a DC that contains protein because I usually leave it on for at least 30 minutes so it doesn't need to be warmed.

I warm up my EVOO, honey and conditioner concoction (2 tablespoons of each) and use it as a pre-poo, leaving it on for 30-40 minutes.

My hair loves it.

My hair loves it when I heat my conditioner. Which is good because I don't like sitting under the dryer. I leave it in for 30-45 minutes (depending on what I am doing). It does the job!

I never heat my conditioner before applying - I guess because I always use a heat bonnet anyway for at least 30 mins- so it get heated while on my strands,

I was actually thinking about warming my conditioner at my last wash,k but I was thinking it would have an adverse effect of one of the ingredients. Thank you for confirming!
