Healing Rooms--Ever Heard of Them

This morning I was talking to my aunt and she was telling me about this woman's testimony from church. According to her, the lady spoke about how she was healed from multiple sclerosis and other illnesses after she visited the "healing room". I was wondering if anyone else has experienced such healing after visiting the "healing room." They have them all over, however, there is not one in my state. The website is http://www.healingrooms.com. I was skimming through the testimonies on this site and was really moved by what people are saying.

ummm I've never seen them "work" immediately...

be careful these things can be very scammish...

at my uncle's crazy church they had a service like this with speakin in tongues, like 12 offerings, and then a required offering for the healings... they were healing appliances too... CRAZY!!!

someone brought up their vaccum. it didn't work after... pastor said itd be ready when they got home and to keep praying :look:

just thought i'd share :yep:

Churches all across this country and the world have "healing rooms" and prayer counselors. I read some of the testimonies on this site, and it's good to see people also get saved as they are healed; That's more important.
We all have the power to heal and to touch others through the Holy Spirit, because it's God doing the healing, not man. Those who don't believe they have that power just aren't fully persuaded or using this gift.

I just hope people aren't going to those rooms for the wrong reasons... seeking to be healed and move on with the life as it was before. God will never be Man's Magician.

We can instantly be healed, but we also must maintain our healing...and that's a lifetime commitment, to help keep those unpure spirits away. I see the site also educating people about that. So that's a good thing.

God bless

:thud:....LOL!!!!

I have heard of healing rooms, and how effective they were back in the day, but have never been to one in person.

Sometimes our priests or visiting priests will hold a healing mass for people. There are no guarantees...as it's prayer that G-d will touch and heal the person. They are annointed with chrism in the prayer.

The skeptic in me wants to say this is probably a scam... however I am reminded of the John 5 passage:

Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had

Who is to say that God is not still "troubling the waters?"...

Lourdes, France. But the vacuum thing was way over the top lol.

I have heard of them and have been invited to participate in one. The jury is still out. I just have to question why these rooms are not part of the church. The mandate of the church is to be a " House of prayer ".
