Having problems trying to \'Search\'

Hi,

I know Compassion recently posted about this, but I cannot search a topic. I put in numbers to specify a date range to search....but every single post that has been made all day comes up.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Or can anyone tell me step by step what I should do instead?

Try clicking on the link that says Advanced search. It is right next to the search function. It will give you some info to help you out. Good luck!

It helps if you get more specific with your search. If you are looking for eg. affirm relaxer Type it this way "affirm relaxer" It should shorten the amount of posts that come up. It also helps to click seach in subject only. I also think it is neat that you can also get a little preview of each post. If you check that box.

Using Advanced Search works better for me.

When I try to search for more than one word, every single post comes up.

A while ago, someone posted a link to photos on a fokti account of a natural haired woman who roller set her hair. I searched "natural and roller", "natural and fokti" and "natural+roller" (without the quotes). The result was every single post ever made on this board. I can search for one word with no problem, though.

I liked the old search!

Hey Sassy,

It works fine, all you have to do is use +natural +roller and it will pick up the posts that have those two words present in the body. Just tested it.
