Having a Real Christian Perspective...

"It's important to know what is in the world, although we are not of the world. That way, we are not turning a 'blind eye' to what's out there. We'll know how to handle new members into our way of life, and how to explain the complexities of erroneous, persuasive worldly life, but that doesn't mean we will indulge."

More or less, that's an attitude I believe I eventually wish to have when it comes to spiritual beliefs. I want to know what's going on in the world, and what is being spread, because I think an understanding of both sides of the coin will allow me to understand what others are thinking and believing, but I feel as long as I stay strong in my relationship with Christ, I can have a stronger perspective on things without "clutching my pearls in shock."

I'm only in my 20s but I have a lot more living to do and I can only imagine what I would be gasping at in the years to come. Therefore, while I might not indulge deeply in too many things --- actively-- if I watch a show or listen to something or pay attention to current events, my spirit will be sensitive to discern the messages are not for me to follow, but I won't be gnawing my hands in spiritual pain for all the ill around me... am I making sense?:look:

Do you disagree with these thoughts?
