Great question!. Yes, I have mastered it and I very little to my hair. Mostly, it stays in twists, though tonight I was lazy and didn't get past pulling it into what I consider to be a really ugly, large puff.

Moisturizing Shampoo: L'oreal sulfate free moisturing

Reconstructing Shampoo: N/A

Chelating/Clarifying Shampoo: Pantene's Clarifying. Love it and will never use another.

Protein Conditioner: MegaTek - this one is still my best friend and gives all the protein I could ever need. Works great for growth too!

Moisturizing Conditioner: Aussie Moist! Sometimes use as a co-wash.

Protein Treatment: N/A outside of MegaTek

Heat Protectant: N/A...but the 2 times I have straightened, I used Sabino....the original formula.

Leave In: Infusium...whichever one I happen to pick up...moisture, protein, or color-fast. It doesn't really matter to me as I have never seen a difference in my hair using various Infusium, water-based, leave-ins. They all seem to do the exact same thing. Anyone else experience this?

Serum: ??? I am not even sure what this is. I don't use one.

Oil: Castor, jojoba, EVOO, Amla blend

(I will add "Moisture" for myself): Pure Shea butter/cocoa butter mix....just about every day. Shea was a life saver for my hair...and my hair LOVES it!!

Again, great thread, OP!!

i can honestly say i don't use a whole list of products and different kinds of shampoos and conditioners... this is what i use:
profectiv stimulating growth shampoo (although i have ran out of this and now i have giovanni that i have yet to use, but its organic so i dont see a problem with it)
profectiv stimulating growth conditioner ( i love it because its really creamy and not slippery this way i can throughly distribute it throughout my hair)
my shea butter mixture (it keeps my hair well moisturized throughout the week and i only apply it once)
thats pretty much it, im low maintenance type girl when it comes to my hair, now when i wanna get fancy i use tea tree oil, and olive oil, peppermint oil, coconut oil, aloe vera gel and apple cider vinegar for a rinse, but i rarely do those things, only when i see a need for like a hot oil or something

I guess I "hit the nail on the head" the first time I bought my hair care products. Plus, I exercised patience; and after seven months, my stylist saw a difference. If the product line didn't work, I wasn't going to continue to use it for more than one year; so in essence, I was just experimenting.

After using it consistently for ten years, my stylist recommended a secondary set of products, which I openly embraced. Now for the past five years, I've been rotating them with my primary staples.

My secondary products are as follows: Cream of Nature shampoo (ultra moisturizing/detangling formula), Motions Moisture Plus conditioner (tub -- add olive oil), Infusium 23 (Repairology formula used as a detangler and leave in treatment).

Because of this board, I've been experimenting with other conditioners, too.

I use three oil blends regularly such as Hot 6, Africa's Best Herbal Oil complex, and Hairobics oils.

I have found that using glycerin based products like HS14-1 as a moituriser works really well on my hair, but I love roller sets and glycerin is the worse thing you can add to a Caruso set or any rollerst on my hair, so even though I know what works I'm going through a period of style over health which is resulting in alot of shedding and breakage... I have my staples but will try something new occasionally:

Shampoo: Aubrey Organics White Camellia but when it is finished I plan to use African black soap
Clarifier: Bentonite clay
Protein Conditioner: Aubrey Organics GBP, Aubrey Organics Blue Algae Hair Rescue Mask twice a year
Moisturizing Conditioner: Aubrey Organics White Camellia & Honeysuckle Rose
Moisturiser: Rose water
Oil: Home made oil cocoction to seal. Use Organic VCO & JBCO to pre-poo
Miscellaneous: Honey - included in pre-poo concoction, ACV, Essential oils

I was thinking about using shea butter, but felt it was too thick. how does this feel in your hair? what is the consistency of the butter?

I also use shea butter, but I melt it down and whip with aloe vera gel and H6O and it makes a great butter for my body and my hair and it has a good consistency. I use it with my cornrows, braids, and twists and sometimes on my ends. Pure shea butter would be too thick and hard, but you can always melt it down and mix it with a product(s) of your choice.

Yeah i've mastered my product regimen...but I still like to try new products & techniques as my hair science knowledge increases!

I'm just figured out that my hair likes to be left alone. So I use to have a long drawn out regimen, but now I take under 5 minutes with my hair. Keeping my hair in braids help alot too. So I cowash 6 days out the week after working out and seal. Every once in awhile I'll spray my hair with green tea at night and rinse in the morning with plain water.
