July 2012 Natural, quick blowdry ($500 worth of unnecessary products later lol)

I owe it all to my beautiful and knowledgeable LHCF sisters! It's been an amazing 3 years! I've learned sooooo much! I jumped on many many bandwagons and I don't regret any. It taught me to... not jump on bandwagons lol. It's so funny though. My story is like most. I came here because I refused to believe the lie that my hair wouldn't grow. Since the age of 11 all I knew was braids. The day I got my first weave, age 15, I thought I could finally be happy with my "hair". But after a while I still wasn't happy. I wanted to be happy with my own hair! I went through a few resources before I found LHCF. Thank God I kept looking!

Enough of my blabbing!
MY REGIMEN:
Cut relaxed hair (I cut it ALL off to about 1/2 inch).
Kept in two strand twists most of my journey.
No special products used.
Wash hair once every two weeks.
Rinse. Dry. Repeat.

Advice: Listen to your hair. If you got it like that then spend the money (referring to products). If you don't, then don't. You just need a bottle of shampoo, a bottle of conditioner, some type of moisturizer, WATER and a good comb. But the best thing I've learned thus far.... It gets easier with time.

<--- :ohwell: pouring some liquor for those damaged tresses... yea as you can see I was COMPLETELY clueless about how to take care of my hair pre-LHCF

Thanks for sharing!!! I'm trying to keep asking myself, do i need this product or do i want this product.

Good luck w/ ur journey:)

wow, beautiful story and hair!! Keep up the good work and you are right it does get better and this is only the beginning for you I'm sure. What is your length goal?

I love your short and sweet regimen. I'm trying to get thick hair like yours, I love it! Very impressive and very pretty.

Full BSL. But us LHCF ladies are always changing our goals. So I know for sure I wouldn't ever grow it longer than MBL (which for me is slightly below BSL and way above WSL).
