I'm looking for something that will add sheen to my hair but not weigh it down. The consintency of biosilk seemed to be good but I didn't know if it worked. Does it add sheen or any other good benefits of it?
I agree!!!!! I have the small bottle and I use about a dime-sized amount and run it through my hair. It's very light, adds sheen and the good thing about it is that you can use it on wet and/or dry hair.
Continued use may dry your hair out due to the alcohol content. You could try Deep Brillance Silk Reflect, it has a nice smell and makes my hair feel like velvet.

I agree. The Deep Brilliance serum is a good, alcohol-free alternative.
I've been using it for over 6 months. It's the only thing I put in my hair. (no oils or creams.) I put it in before a flat iron and less than a dime sized amount every two days. It doesn't dry out my hair in the least bit.
Biosilk is awesome. Dont be scared regarding the the alcohol in it. I was skeptical at first too but surprisingly it didnt dry out my hair. It made my hair so sofy and shiny. I also like it cause it is extremely light, unlike other serums that have a sort of thick feelng.
I used it once and loved the results. Be sure to shake the bottle before using, though. I got soft, touchable, shiny hair. Even dh noticed and he never notices anything.
What I did was spray thermasilk leave in while my hair was damp, and flat-ironed with biosilk section by section when it had almost completely dried.
