Hating my FHI

I recently purchased the 207rvi model and I hate it. I used it the same way I would my andis flat iron that I had to replace because the coating was coming off and pulling my hair out.:( The only positive I see, is that it truly glides through the hair smoothly. Maybe it's something I am missing. I have used it twice (once on my hair and once on my daughter) and I am truly disappointed. I am contacting folica about exchanging it for a Sedu. Just venting because I really had high expectations.

Aw! I'm sorry to hear that you weren't pleased with your iron! I've had mine (302 model) for almost 2 years now and have never had a problem at all. Just used it tonight in fact.

But definitely send that iron back to Folica for a refund, mrsmeredith-- nothing should be coming off your plates! The FHI is supposed to have full ceramic plates-- there should be no "coating" on there to come off in the first place. This shouldn't be happening on any type of iron really, especially not after only 2 uses and for the price I know you've paid.:ohwell: Hope your Sedu works out better for ya!

I am sorry to hear about that, as well. I love my FHI and it never gives me problems. I sure they will exchange it for you.

BTW, what about did you not like? Did it not straighten well?

Wow, sorry to hear about that. I heard that the FHI was like the holy grail of flat irons . Hope it works out for you.

The coating is coming off the andis flat iron not the fhi. The FHI is just not giving good results. Its like I could have gotten the same results from a hot high heat blow dryer. I ran a piece through my andis and fhi and the andis felt silky and smooth(eventhough it was pulling like crazy because of the coating falling off), the fhi had fly aways, rough texture and ends not smooth at all.:( So hopefully I will be a proud owner of a sedu by friday. Thanks for the responses you guys

Let me know how you like the Sedu because I'm thinking about buying one. I have the maxiglide but want something else with an 1 inch plate:)
