It says that it's a relaxer on the box. Is it more like a relaxer now? It used to be used instead of getting a perm back in the day. I'm asking because my dd is fully natural, but wanted to loosen her curl pattern a bit. I thought about Vigorol. I'm also open to any other suggestions if anyone has any. TIA :)

Um, Vigorol has always been a relaxer, and is still advertised as such:

You can put it on your daughter's hair if you want, but it will no longer be natural. :ohwell:

Thank you. I explained this to her and she has decided against it- she's 15. Does anyone know of anything that can loosen her curl pattern naturally? I couldnt think of anything other than twist outs.

The coconut milk and lime/lemon treatment. Then dry her hair in two buns. Do a search for that- it was popular at one time, worst that could happen she'll have very moisturised hair
